My own experiences of having lost a loved one to suicide and the tragic death of an adult child has informed my work and led me to helping others navigate through their own life-altering events. We may not have experienced the same loss or suffered the same trauma but I have an understanding of what it feels like to walk a path that was not of my choosing. In this work I have come to know that I am able to provide hope for my clients - that they too might find joy again.
I have over 40 years of lived-experience and 11 years of experience as co-facilitator of a support group for suicide bereavement. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte with a Masters in counseling, I am currently a private practitioner in the Charlotte and area.
I work as an integrative person-centered therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain their goals for personal growth.
